Eric Kochman Ph.D.

CEO & President

Eric Kochman has a Ph.D. in Electrical Chemistry from The Academy of Sciences of the former Soviet Union. Until 1990, he led a team of researchers who developed a wide variety of proprietary chemicals, coatings and composites which were successfully applied by major companies in Russia. In 1990-91, he conducted post-doctorate research on nanosized diamonds at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan. Several leading Japanese tooling companies subsequently commercialized his work. In 1991-92, Dr. Kochman served as Diamond Coating Project Manager for ISCAR, Ltd., in Israel, the world’s second largest cutting tool manufacturing company.

In 1993, Dr. Kochman received a grant from the U.S. Navy, came to the United States and started Science Engineering International Corporation in Maryland. The company conducted research to improve the wear resistance of gun barrels.

In 1996, Dr. Eric Kochman with two partners started ThermoSoft International Corporation (Vernon Hills, IL, USA, www.thermosoftinternational.com) a developer and manufacturer of new generation FiberThermics® heaters that are completely unique on the world market. At present, more than 1,400,000 households in the U.S. and Canada enjoy warming products made according to ThermoSoft’s patented technology.

Mike Lavit

SVP of Operations

As Senior Vice President of Operations and Co-Founder of Thermosoft, Mike has been involved in R & D , administration, and instrumental in establishing Thermosoft's manufacturing and production processes which he continues to oversee. Prior to Thermosoft, Mike was a founder of a successful, nationwide, transportation company which he eventually sold. Mike also worked as a Vice President of Sales for a Fortune 500 financial services firm for over 10 years.

Dmitry Kochman

VP of Ecommerce and Product Development

As a ThermoSoft Director of Research & Development since 2000, Dmitry supervises most ThermoSoft product developments. He also serves as Vice President of E-commerce and is in charge of ThermoSoft e-commerce strategy. In 1996-2000 Dmitry worked as a Special Coatings Project Manager for Blades Technology, Ltd, one of the world’s largest aircraft turbine blades manufacturer. Dmitry holds Master Degree in Electro-Chemical Engineering, Business Management School Diploma, Certifications for Search Engine Optimization and Integrated Online Marketing Strategies. He is coauthor of four ThermoSoft patents.

Russ Dunn

VP of Marketing

As Vice President of Marketing since 2000, Russ has been instrumental in establishing Thermosoft's value propositions and market positions in several market categories including floor heating, furniture, bedding, spa and most recently, personal protection equipment for the military and first responder market segments. Russ is most proud of his contributions in helping establish Thermosoft's leading customer relationship market position in its floor heating business. Prior to joining Thermosoft, Russ was Director of Marketing for U.S. Can Corporation and Manager of Marketing Finance at Kraft Foods. Russ holds an MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati College of Business Administration and a CPA from the State of Ohio.

Stephen J. Kaempf

VP of Sales

Stephen J. Kaempf has worked as Vice President of Sales for Thermosoft since 2008. Stephen is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the sales team. As a member of the senior management he assists with the development and implementation of the long range Corporate Strategy. Steve’s experience includes direction of the national sales group for Citigroup for 10 years, as well as founding and directing one of the Midwest’s largest mortgage banking operations for 11 years.
