Thermosoft
manufactures its FiberThermics® radiant floor heating
element with a superior floor underlayment to bring you
this most innovative electric floor warming system for all
types of floating floors: laminate floors, engineered wood
floors, natural wood floors, etc.
Here is what you should know about this most revolutionary
radiant flooring system:
|
-
There
is no easier radiant floor heating system to install
under laminates. Simply roll out the heating pads over
the sub-floor. Duct-tape pads together at the seams
and fill-in unheated spaces with non-heated Insulayment
or any generic underlayment. Then lay your laminate
floor per manufacturer instructions. The heating elements
are pre-spaced and factory-mounted on the underlayment
pad. No hot water pipes to worry about or thick electrical
cables to bury in cement or raise your floor.
- ThermoFloor
radiant under floor heating is ideal for adding safe, low
cost warmth to your kitchen, family room, basement or
any other room in your home.
- ThermoFloor
electric floor warming systems serve as an insulator
of the slab below. ThermoFloor has an R value = 0.50 (1/8"
thick x R=4 per inch). Always use a vapor barrier between
the slab and our floating floor underfloor heating systems.
- ThermoFloor
is a sound barrier. It has a Field Impact Insulation
Class (FIIC) rating of 60 which exceeds the International
Building Code Standard of 50. Therefore, it is suitable
for installations in condominums and other multiple story
buildings where sound transmission is a concern.
- ThermoFloor
electric under floor heating comes in four convenient sizes:
1.5' x 5' covering 7.5 S.F.; 1.5' x 10' covering 15 S.F.;
3' x 5' covering 15 S.F and 3' x 10' covering 30 S.F. Lay
out your floor plan with these four sizes to cover the main
living areas where people will be standing, sitting or walking,
and fill in the remaining areas with unheated Insulayment
or generic underlayment.
- ThermoFloor
warming systems are ideal for glued-down floors, engineered
or natural wood. Simply glue down Floating Floor Warmth
to the subfloor, then glue down the wood floor to Floating
Floor Warmth.
-
ThermoFloor
electric floor warming can be used as a supplemental
or sole source heater. Each pad generates 10 Watts
per S.F. The more coverage, the more suited for sole
source heating. Call us for assistance in determining
your BTU requirements.
-
ThermoFloor
under floor heating connects to your regular 110/120V
AC household electric wiring. Run the pre-connected
20' lead wires from the end of the pad to your thermostat
electric box. Connect multiple radiant floor heating
pads in parallel to one thermostat. For maximum energy
savings, use our programmable thermostat. Always connect
Floating Floor Warmth to a circuit protected by GFCI
(ground fault circuit interrupt). Our programmable thermostats
include GFCI.
